Needs Assessment, GIS and GPS Oak Grove, Missouri
The Public Works staff at Oak Grove recognized the benefits of accurate, complete infrastructure mapping and had previously contracted with Bartlett & West to locate, inspect and map the sanitary sewer system. The City was impressed with the project and turned to Bartlett & West once again to advise them on the potential for a full-fledged Geographic Information System. The project includes migrating data from CAD mapping to ArcGIS, field locating water and storm sewer features, and integrating the data available from Jackson County and the Mid-America Regional Council. The Oak Grove GIS is hosted at Bartlett & West with accessibility via the internet.

Stormwater GIS Topeka, Kansas
The Stormwater Geographic Information System (GIS) consolidated stormwater modeling results from over a decade of stormwater basin modeling. The Stormwater GIS allows any City staff member instant access to a wealth of stormwater project information as well as the ability to update unit cost data, prioritize projects and add customer survey data.

Mid-Dakota Water System South Dakota
Bartlett & West assisted the Mid-Dakota Water System to become as efficient and effective as possible for their customers by developing a data management system or Geographic Information System (GIS) for their 5,000-plus consumers. This system has improved the operation and maintenance of this large system in central South Dakota.

Project Information Management System (PIMS) Shawnee County and Topeka, Kansas
The City of Topeka and Shawnee County needed a way to manage all their infrastructure projects and they needed the ability to access and search the database both internally and by the general public. Bartlett & West conducted a needs assessment and developed an application consisting of a custom-built web-based application that allows workers and the public to keep current on the progress of projects in their community.

System Mapping, Geographical Information System Implementation, and GPS Data Processing Mahaska Rural Water System, Iowa
Mahaska Rural Water System (RWS) contacted Bartlett & West seeking assistance in transferring their paper maps into a GIS system to boost the accuracy of the information and increase the efficiency in serving their customers. The project began with converting their papers maps into digital maps to be used with their GIS. The RWS collected their own GPS data and Bartlett & West took the lead in importing the information into their GIS and update as necessary. Bartlett & West also worked with the billing system vendor so customer information could easily be imported into the GIS database.

GIS Hydraulic Modeling & eGIS Standing Rock RWS, North Dakota
Bartlett & West assisted this Rural Water System to develop and implement their GIS. The process began by gathering paper versions of the system drawings which were then utilized to create spatial datasets depicting the existing pipeline infrastructure. The developed spatial datasets were then incorporated into a GIS-based Hydraulic Modeling application which has been instrumental in the ongoing design and expansion of the water system. Most recently, Bartlett & West has developed and implemented an Enterprise GIS (eGIS) for the water system.
